Support Your Local Bookstore

There is no easy way to explain the incredible presence and effect that Books on Broadway has made within the Williston Community. Located in Historic Downtown Williston, Books on Broadway has provided Williston with not only books of all genres for nearly 30 years but also created a sense of community and connection for everyone.

What was once a quaint little store, slowly expanded to the layout you see now, which includes a designated children's section, a coffee bar, and a great gifts section. The store is owned and managed by Chuck Wilder, Williston’s History Guru. Chuck has always been dedicated to the Williston community and is actively involved with many community organizations. With Chuck's knowledge of the region, he is able to bring in book titles and authors that feature life here in the Dakotas and its history. Chuck is always welcoming and wants to get to know his customers as well as he knows his books.

The staff at Books on Broadway are always very knowledgeable and helpful. Kyla, who has been managing the store for several years now, knows almost everything there is to know about the inventory, authors, and upcoming titles in every genre. Whether it is popular children's titles, best thriller/horror books, good self-improvement books, or finding a great gift. The staff is always able to answer any questions I throw at them.

Here are a few ways you can show your support for Books on Broadway:

  1. The store will special order books for you. If you cannot find a book on their shelves, you can ask the staff to special order it.

  2. Need to get into reading physical books? There is a way to support Books on Broadway while listening to audiobooks. It is called the Libro app and this audiobook app allows you to purchase your audiobooks directly from Books on Broadway so you can show your support. Go to www.libro.fm to sign up and start listening today!

  3. Stop in and shop! The store doesn’t have just books. It also includes an array of games and great gift ideas.

November 2023 will mark 30 years for this beloved bookstore. They are looking for personal stories about shoppers' experiences with the store. If you are willing to share your story, will stop into the store to share or send them a message on Facebook!
