Join the City of Williston for a Community Spring Cleaning Day!
Hello, Williston and Western North Dakota community members! Spring is in full bloom, and with it comes the opportunity to contribute to our beautiful city’s cleanliness and overall appeal. The City of Williston is inviting all local residents to come together for the annual Clean Williston event. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a morning filled with community spirit and environmental stewardship.
Event Details You Need to Know
- Date and Time: The main event is on April 27, but in case of inclement weather, it will be rescheduled to Saturday, May 4, 2024. The clean-up runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Location: Volunteers should gather at Williston Public Works, located at 1121 5th Street East in the north lot.
- Registration: Be sure to register online for one of the 40 designated zones. Registration can be completed at [http://bit.ly/CleanWilliston](http://bit.ly/CleanWilliston). Don’t worry if you haven’t pre-registered; you can still show up on the day and be assigned a zone.
What’s Provided and What to Bring
The city will provide all volunteers with a free Clean Williston t-shirt (available while supplies last), as well as safety vests, gloves, and garbage bags for the clean-up. A light breakfast will also be provided to fuel your morning of hard work.
After collecting trash, full garbage bags should be left on the side of the road within your zone for pickup, or you can bring them back to Public Works. Remember to return all safety equipment you’ve used. This helps the city keep costs down and continue supporting such valuable community events.
