Artists on Main Workshop

In 2022 we received the news that Williston has been selected as one of the 2023 Artists on Main Grant Winners through the ND Department of Commerce. Over the course of the year, artists, creatives, culture bearers and makers in the Williston area will receive training and funding support to lead small projects engaging the community around Williston's Downtown District with the goal of providing community members a place to gather and build relationships along with attracting visitors to Downtown Williston. Artists will be invited to propose projects of up to $1000 each to create installations or activities in the district. 

The first step in the process has a workshop where community leaders and artists can meet and discuss possible art projects that can be completed. I want to invite you to the workshop, so you can share your knowledge and experience with the community members and artists that will attend. The workshop details are listed below. I also ask that you invite any other artists you know to this workshop. That way, if they have an idea they can be one of the first to propose a project.
