The 4th of July is less than a week away, and that means a busy weekend filled with fireworks, camping, live music, and more! Within this blog post, you can see all the events going on in and around Williston this 4th of July Weekend, along with where to buy your favorite fireworks and where you can watch fireworks.

Please Read a Statement made by the Williston Police Department in regard to the Fireworks Ordinance

With the 4th of July a little over a week away, now is a good time to remind everyone of the fireworks ordinances for the City of Williston!

Fireworks are permitted in the City of Williston on July 4 of each year, until the time of 1:00 a.m. on July 5 of each year.

Violation of this ordinance carries a $250 fine. Second Violation of this ordinance within a year will result in a $500 fine.

However, if the Williams County fire danger rating reaches the orange level (Very High) or above, and a burn ban is put in place, fireworks are no longer permitted. The Burn Ban includes the ignition of fireworks, burning of leaves, grass clippings, garbage/pits, construction debris, fallen trees, crop residue or hay land, sloughs, and campfires/bonfires/recreation fire. Williston Police Officers are charged with enforcing these provisions and shall seize, take, remove, or cause to be removed at the owner’s expense all fireworks or combustibles if in violation of this ordinance.

  • Wildrose Summer Fest- Parade, Live Music, and More beginning at 11 a.m.

  • Williston Basin Speedway Kids Night Starts at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, July 4th-

  • Josey and the Whalers performing at Blacktail Dam as part of the Williams County Summer Concert Series from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
